When I first arrived in England as a young 20 year old USAF Airman I was happy.  I was stationed at RAF Upper Heyford in Oxfordshire (now closed), I was an imagery interpretor in the intelligence section of the 77th tactical fighter squadron, A famous fighting squadron  formed in WWI. This episode involves my first car, a 1967 Sunbeam Alpine. It was a very cool car. Fun!  Dangerous.  well, wrong side of the road and all.  I was stationed in England in the Air Force and paid $700 cash for her from another airman who was rotating back to the states.
